Yavapai County Hosts Multi-Jurisdictional Evacuation Training

A two-day multi-jurisdictional Genasys Protect training event will be hosted by Yavapai County Emergency Management Wednesday and Thursday.

This comprehensive training will focus on the Genasys Protect Evacuation Platform, recently acquired by several local jurisdictions within Yavapai County including: the
City of Prescott, the City of Cottonwood, the Town of Clarkdale, the Town of Chino Valley, the Town of Camp Verde, the Town of Dewey-Humboldt, the Town of Jerome. The Town of Prescott Valley is in process. The City of Sedona uses an internal evacuation zone product.

Yavapai County aims to be the first county in Arizona to have evacuation zones in every jurisdiction. The event offers local jurisdictions a chance to learn the evacuation platform in-depth, while also practicing coordination and cooperation under realistic conditions.
