CAFMA Chief Addresses His Censure by the IAFF

Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority Chief Scott Freitag says he is shocked by his recent censure by the International Association of Fire Fighters union. That censure is over allegations the agency has failed to implement measures to reduce the risk of cancer in the workplace.

Freitag says he is surprised and disappointed the IAFF took this action to defame him and his agency. Freitag was also accused of harassing and bullying employees. He says the matter was handled by Human Resources and a third-party attorney, but he is confident he will be exonerated of any wrongdoing.
