Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority officials announced Captain Brody Fields has been appointed the agency’s new health and safety officer.
He will work closely with battalion chiefs to coordinate yearly physicals, as well as fitness training. In addition, Fieldswill come up with initiatives to for cancer prevention and mental health support. His role in identifying and addressing safety risks and trends will be crucial in reducing accidents and injuries within the department.
Captain Fields has a strong background in firefighter safety and wellness programs.
