At last week’s Arizona League of Cities and Towns Annual Conference Phoenix, Chino Valley Vice-Mayor and Mayor-Elect Tom Armstrong was unanimously elected Vice-President of the Greater Arizona Mayors Association.
Armstrong has lived in Chino Valley for over 16 years and is now retired. Prior to being elected to Council in 2020, Tom served on the Chino Valley Planning and Zoning Commission for which he served as the vice chairman. Currently serving as Vice-Mayor, Armstrong was elected Mayor and will be seated in that role at the December 10th town council meeting.
Regionally, Tom serves on the Central Yavapai Metropolitan Planning Organization (CYMPO) and Rural Transportation Advocacy Council (RTAC) Executive Boards.
