ERAU Women’s Soccer Ties With OK Wesleyan

A top 25 battle took place on the pitch in Arkansas yesterday. The number 13 ranked Embry-Riddle women’s soccer team was in Siloam Springs to face number 21 Oklahoma Wesleyan. It was scoreless through most of the first half, but with 50 seconds left before halftime, Prescott alum Kari Kasun sent the ball into the net to give the Lady Eagles the 1-0 lead. The assist went to Sophia Bohon.

But in the 77th minute of the contest, Wesleyan’s Tania Mocholi had a breakaway and got the ball past keeper Annabelle Ruckle for the equalizer. Neither team could score again and the contest ended in a 1-1 draw.

Ruckle ended the night with six saves for Embry-Riddle.

The Lady Eagles are now 1-1-1 on the season. They remain in Arkansas tomorrow to take on John Brown University.
