Local scoreboard from the weekend, in soccer, for the ladies, Embry-Riddle tied with John Brown University 1-1. Jamie “Beast In” Black scored the Lady Eagles’ lone goal. Chino Valley lost to Show Low 8-1. Livia McMains had the Lady Cougars’ lone goal.
In volleyball, Embry-Riddle went 1-2 at the Park University Tournament in Missouri. Chino Valley finished seventh at the Small School Invitational.
In cross country, the Embry-Riddle men and women won their invitational, the men with a perfect score of 15. Chino Valley grad Dillon Eisner and freshman Sophia Noriega placed first for the men and women respectively. At the Western Equinox Invitational, Prescott’s Blake Duggan finished seventh for the boys and Audrey Delaney came in 25th in the girls race. At the Alhambra Invitational, the Chino Valley girls won it and the boys were fifth. Carlee Murphy placed third in the girls race.
