They scored a combined six goals in their first two games of the season. On Wednesday, the Chino Valley boys’ soccer team surpassed that total in one game. They went up to Winslow and hammered the Bulldogs 10-0. Chris Estrada had a hat trick for the Cougars. Freshman Trypp Challenger notched two goals. Miguel Sanchez, Cisco Silva, Aaron Powell, Gio Millan, and Jackson Hawks each had one goal. Chino is now 3-0 on the season.
After suffering lopsided losses in their first two games of the season, the Chino Valley girls’ soccer team turned the tables Wednesday. They, too, were in Winslow, and upended the Lady Bulldogs 7-2. Livia McMains had a huge day for the Lady Cougars with five goals. Sage Rhys-Evans and Diana Montes each had a goal.
The Chino Valley boys host the Chino Cup tomorrow and Saturday, and the Chino girls return to action next Wednesday when they host Snowflake.
