Local scoreboard from yesterday, in soccer, for the guys, Chino Valley drilled Northland Prep 9-1. Angel Sanchez had five goals. Yavapai College lost to Mohave 1-0. Women, Yavapai tied Mohave 1-1. Sophia Fottrell scored for the Lady Riders.
Volleyball, Prescott got swept by Thunderbird 3-0. Mayer knocked off Music Mountain 3-0. Fatima Morales had six ace serves.
Golf, at the Northwest Iowa Invitational, the Embry-Riddle women took second place and the men finished 13th. Olivia Zamarripa finished third for the women. The Bradshaw Mountain boys won the Prescott Country Club three-way with a 148, while Prescott shot a 163. The Bears’ Nolan Brunner was the medalist with a 34, and the Badgers’ Jonathan Tso finished second with a 35.
Flag football, Bradshaw Mountain lost to Mountain Ridge 34-0. Melissa Torres had a couple of sacks. Mayer fell to Page 40-0. Teresa Landrie had an interception.
The Prescott badminton team swept North Canyon 9-0.
