The Skull Valley community clean-up is scheduled for next week. Yavapai County residents can drop off their waste free of charge at the Skull Valley Transfer Station at 12970 West Van Dickson Road. Acceptable items for drop-off include bagged trash, tires, auto batteries, furniture, and yard trimmings. Items that will not be accepted include loose trash, commercial dumping, cars, liquids, hazardous materials, dead animals, and Ni-Cad batteries.
The community clean-up takes place September 26, 27, and 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Yavapai County officials say the community clean-up is the perfect time for residents to create defensible space around their homes to protect them from wildfire.
