Silver Alert Subject in PV Found With Minor Injuries After Car Wreck

An elderly man who was the subject of a Silver Alert issued by Prescott Valley Police on Friday night was located just before 7 a.m. Saturday morning.

A Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of a wrecked vehicle with an elderly man lying in a ditch near Oro Ranch. The caller said the man had minor injuries, but seemed confused. The deputy discovered that the man was Thomas Meier, the subject of the Silver Alert.

Meier was disoriented and told the deputy that he wasn’t sure how he ended up in the ditch. Due to the distance and rough terrain, Meier was flown to the hospital as a precaution.

Prescott Valley Police were notified of the situation and Meier’s family was contacted. His family responded to the hospital and stated that Meier was being treated for apparent minor injuries.
