The Chino Valley volleyball team looked to be in control of Tuesday’s match versus Highland Prep. The Lady Cougars won a close one in set one, 25-23. Set two was more one-sided, ending in a 25-14 Chino victory. The third set was much closer, but the Lady Cougars dropped that one 25-21, then fell in set four to the Honey Badgers 25-13. That brought about a fifth and deciding set, which was a close one, but Highland Prep got the better of Chino Valley 15-13.
Eva Sanchez tallied 17 kills for the Lady Cougars. Brookelyn Little recorded 16 assists, six ace serves, and five kills. Avery Bradshaw garnered 13 assists.
Chino is now 1-5 in its power point matches. They do not play again until September 30th when they travel to River Valley. The Lady Cougars return home October 2nd versus Kingman.
