Chino Valley Gets Award for General Plan

The Town of Chino Valley got recognized for its 2040 General Plan. The Arizona Chapter of the American Planning Association gave the town the top award for regional or general plan for a municipality of under 50,000 people. The award was presented at the organization’s state conference last month in Tucson.

Chino Valley Development Services Director Laurie Lineberry said, “It is an honor to have our work recognized by our peers as outstanding in the field of planning.”

The general plan is a community’s long-range vision for the next 20 years. It is designed to serve as a blueprint for future development.
