Hiker Rescued in Sedona

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office was called out to Bell Rock in Sedona on Friday to help a hiker in distress.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a woman in her 60s accidentally went off the trail and slid down a small embankment, where she became stuck. She then called 911. Deputies, along with the Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team and Verde Valley Search and Rescue, responded and used a rope to get the hiker to safety.

It is not known what injuries, if any, the hiker sustained.
