Prospective teachers, or teachers looking for a job, could be eligible for a scholarship from the Gardner Family Teacher Scholarship Program, also known as “GIFTS.” Scholarships of $2,500 are being offered to students who expect to graduate from a Yavapai County high school next year and plan to teach in the county. Teachers whose positions were eliminated and need additional coursework for continued education are also eligible for the scholarship, as are those pursuing a certificate in education.
