Drivers on I-17 in Yavapai County will face more lane restrictions this week.
Both the north and southbound lanes of the interstate between Sunset Point and Table Mesa Road will be narrowed to one lane starting at either 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. and ending at either 6 a.m. or 7 a.m. through Saturday. This is being done to accommodate bridge work, shoulder work, electrical work, and a traffic shift. Motorists traveling through the area should allow for extra time to reach their destination and be alert for construction personnel and equipment.
This is part of the I-17 improvement project, which should be completed next year and will see the installation of flex lanes on that stretch of the interstate.
