Quang Nguyen and Selina Bliss are taking their case to the state attorney general. The two Prescott-area state representatives are asking Kris Mayes for an investigation into Sedona’s new firearms ordinance.
Representative Nguyen had asked the Sedona city government to address his concerns about whether the ordinance complied with state law. No one from Sedona’s government responded to that request. The Sedona ordinance prohibits guns from being carried on any trail or open space area. A release from the state legislature called those terms vague and overly broad.
Per state law, the attorney general’s office must provide a written report to Representatives Nguyen and Bliss within the next 30 days.
