A motorcycle crash at State Route 89 and Outer Loop Road claimed the life of a Prescott Valley man.
The Chino Valley Police Department reports officers were dispatched to the scene at the roundabout at Outer Loop Road just after 5 p.m. Saturday. Officers determined that the black 2012 Harley Davidson was traveling southbound on State Route 89 and entering the roundabout when the rider lost control. The motorcycle went onto the roundabout apron, crossed the sidewalk, re-entered the roadway on the southwest end, and struck a curb, causing the motorcycle to tumble and eject the rider.
The rider, 60-year-old Curtis Christians of Prescott Valley, was flown to Deer Valley Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.
The crash remains under investigation.
