The federal government’s response to the mass sightings of drones in New Jersey and New York is not sitting well with Prescott area Congressman Eli Crane. In a release from his office, Crane singled out the FBI, stating, “The FBI has a budget of 11 billion dollars, yet they only spend 500 thousand dollars on counter-drone tech. Worse, they couldn’t identify the source of massive drones over New Jersey and New York. Their failure to combat modern threats is disgraceful, especially considering their assault on American liberties.”
Unidentified drones have also been spotted in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Ohio, Virginia, and California. Both the FBI and U.S. Department of Homeland Security stated there is no evidence these drones pose a threat to public safety or national security.
