Both the Embry-Riddle and Grace College women’s basketball teams stayed within arm’s length the entire night. The Lady Lancers went into halftime with a 36-32 lead. The Lady Eagles surged ahead of Grace in the third quarter, but the Lady Lancers reclaimed the lead before the end of the frame.
In the fourth quarter, three-pointers by Mehgan Strickler, Abby Dean, and Nicole Evenson put Riddle back on top, and they stayed there to secure a 64-59 victory. Evenson led the team with 18 points, hitting six three-pointers. Zakiirah King added 16 points, and Strickler notched 10 points. Micaela Hidalgo and Kate McBride each grabbed six rebounds.
The Lady Eagles wrap up their December schedule at the Cactus Classic at Chandler-Gilbert College, facing Rocky Mountain on Friday and Montana State-Northern on Saturday.
