PPD Releases Update on Man Who Allegedly Killed Roommate

The News 1490 has an update on a story reported Wednesday about Prescott Police arresting a man who admitted to killing his roommate.

According to Prescott Police, The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Adam Tucker, informed dispatch that he had killed 73-year-old David Dale because he believed Dale was a pedophile. Tucker told detectives that Dale was acting “weird” about lending his phone to a second roommate and claimed that Dale admitted to being sexually attracted to children. Tucker said he went into the victim’s room and placed him in a chokehold while he was lying in bed until he was dead.

After further investigation, detectives determined that the allegations made by the suspect about the victim being a pedophile were not substantiated. This was thoroughly investigated, including a forensic examination of the victim’s cell phone, which found no evidence linking the victim to child pornography or pedophilia.

The investigation is ongoing.
