A Chino Valley family came home Monday night to find smoke coming out of their house. Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority officials say they responded to the scene after the family called 911. When firefighters arrived, they determined a live Christmas tree had caught fire.
The blaze was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported. CAFMA officials remind everyone to get rid of live Christmas tries as soon as they become dry as they will become a serious fire hazard.
