CAFMA Sends Firefighters to Los Angeles Wildfires

The Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority is involved in fighting the wildfires ravaging Los Angeles. The agency sent an engine crew to provide structure protection in the area of the Eaton Fire.

In addition, the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management has sent two of its wildfire teams to California. Scottsdale-based Rural Metro Fire and the Tucson Fire Department have also dispatched personnel to the Los Angeles area.

Five major wildfires are burning around L.A., consuming more than 35,000 acres. Ten people have been killed by these wildfires, and more than 10,000 structures have been destroyed.
