He wants to go from city councilman to mayor. The Prescott City Clerk’s Office reports Brandon Montoya has submitted his statement of interest in running for mayor. Montoya was elected to Prescott City Council in 2021 and has served as the mayor pro tem.
In addition, Mary Frederickson has submitted her statement of interest in running for city council.
The Prescott primary election takes place August 5. Along with the mayor’s position, three city council seats are up for election.
