More lane restrictions are on tap for I-17 through Yavapai County this week. The interstate between New River Road and Bumble Bee Road will be narrowed to one lane starting at either 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. and lasting until either 5 a.m. or 7 a.m. through Friday to accommodate bridge work and the installation of noise walls. In addition, the northbound off-ramp at Coldwater Road will be closed until 5 a.m. Thursday for grading and paving.
Motorists traveling through this stretch of the interstate should allow for extra time to reach their destination and be alert for construction personnel and equipment. This is part of the I-17 improvement project, which should be completed later this year.
