Prescott City Council Deals With Airport Issues at Tuesday Meeting

The first meeting of the new year for the Prescott City Council takes place Tuesday. It starts at 1 p.m. with the study session, where council discusses the establishment of a citizens sustainability and resiliency advisory committee, and an amendment to the city code regarding gas-powered leaf blowers.

The voting meeting follows at 3 p.m. New rates and fees at the Prescott Regional Airport will be voted on. The city council also considers the establishment of the airport overlay district. Another item on the agenda is consideration of night work on Highway 89 between the Willow Lake Road and Phippen roundabouts.

Both meetings take place in city council chambers at 201 North Montezuma Street.
