The Yavapai County Board of Supervisors is suddenly in need of a new member. James Gregory, who represents District 2, announced he is resigning after accepting an offer to serve as chief of police in Williams.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Gregory said, “This difficult decision was not made lightly, as I deeply value the trust and support you have placed in me. I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition during my departure and will work closely with my fellow board members to ensure a seamless handover of my duties and responsibilities as the District 2 supervisor. Serving our community has been a deeply rewarding experience. I am incredibly proud of the accomplishments we have achieved together, and I am confident that Yavapai County will continue to thrive with whoever takes my place as the District 2 representative.”
