How Plants in the Tri-City Area Are Affected by Temperature Flucuations

The first winter storm of the season arrived late but did bring us some cold temperatures. Our weather has now warmed up again with above-average temps in the central highlands. With the back-and-forth changes, many are concerned how plants and trees might be affected by this fluctuation in temperatures.

The News 1490 reached out to Matt Halldorson, the director of Cooperative Extension for Yavapai County, who says there are a couple of concepts in relation to plants and the time they begin to bud or bloom:
