It’s off to the islands for Prescott basketball’s Zane Gaul… the Hawaiian Islands, that is. The 6’11 Gaul made his long-awaited commitment, choosing NCAA II Hawaii Pacific.
This season, “The G-Force” is averaging 18 and a half points per game. In Tuesday’s win over Mingus, Gaul crossed the 1,400-point threshold for his Badger career. He is also approaching 1,000 rebounds for his career.
A varsity player since his freshman season, Gaul has made the all-region first team twice and last season received an All-4A Conference honorable mention. Along with basketball, Gaul is also a two-time region player of the year in boys volleyball and was a member of the golf team.
His new team, Hawaii Pacific, is 12-11 this season. In the past, they have won seven national championships and 37 conference titles.
