Progress Made on HWY 69 Project in Prescott

The Highway 69 project in Prescott should be wrapped up this summer. That’s the word from A-DOT officials. Phase one of the project was completed last week. Phase two is expected to begin in mid-April.

The work includes constructing raised center medians and a road island between Prescott Lakes Parkway and Heather Heights; installing a new traffic signal at Holiday Drive; replacing the top asphalt between Prescott Lakes Parkway and the Yavpe Connector, and reconstructing driveways, applying final striping, installing new signage, and various shoulder work.

Until work begins on phase two, all six lanes of traffic on that stretch of Highway 69 will be open with no restrictions.
