ERAU Wrestling Ends Nat’l Tournament With Four All-Americans

The Embry-Riddle wrestling team came to Wichita with ten grapplers… and they left with four of those guys placing at the NAIA National Tournament and earning All-American honors. One of them was Keller Rock. The Chino Valley grad bested Reinhart’s Matt Jenkins 19-5 to secure a third-place finish at 165 pounds.

Rock concludes his wrestling career in the Tri-City area as a two-time national placer – including a national runner-up finish – and a one-time conference champ at Embry-Riddle, and a three-time state champion at Chino Valley.

Also chalking up a third-place finish for the Eagles was Kenneth Copley, who beat Braden Morgan of Friends University at heavyweight 9-1. Daniil Gorshkov also made it to the third-place match at 174 pounds, but lost to Campbellsville’s Shadrick Slone 15-0. Logan Hancey had a close battle with Life University’s Fabian Padilla for seventh place at 157 pounds, but lost 12-10.
