BMHS Baseball Edges Out Mingus

Given what the weather situation looks like, this could be one of the few games of local interest to be played this week. So the Bradshaw Mountain baseball team made the most of its time on the diamond Monday. They were in Cottonwood to take on Mingus and staked out a 4-1 lead in the top of the fifth. But the Marauders scratched out a run in the bottom of the fifth and another one in the bottom of the seventh. The Bears, however, held on for the 4-3 triumph.

Nitesh Patel drove in two runs for Bradshaw. Sammy Villafana also had an RBI. Caden Randall went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Jeremy Reynolds was the winning pitcher with four strikeouts.

The Bears are now 5-1 overall on the season. They are scheduled for action Thursday at home versus Paradise Honors, though we will see if the weather will cooperate.
