Along with the many new players on the roster, there will also be some familiar faces on the Northern Arizona Wranglers this season. The team re-signed seven players from the 2024 season. First is defensive back Malik Sonnier, who had 69 tackles, two fumble recoveries, and an interception.
Also returning to the Wranglers is DB Lummie Young IV. He had 23 tackles in seven games in 2024.
Another returner is linebacker Kalen Hicks, who had 22 tackles and one-and-a-half sacks. Back in an NAZ uniform is defensive lineman Mason Newton, who recorded 14 tackles, one sack, and one fumble recovery.
The Wranglers return a pair of receivers, David Elder and Deshon Stoudemire. Elder registered 333 receiving yards and six touchdowns last season, while Stoudemire, who joined the club late in the season, posted 64 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Also back is offensive lineman Chris Simon.
The Wranglers open the season at home March 29th versus Fishers Freight.
