PHS Baseball Gets Double-Digit Runs for 5th Straight Game, Levels Coconino

The Prescott baseball team has been wearing out opposing pitchers, putting up a combined 54 runs in their previous four games. On Thursday, the Badgers’ bats went quiet against Coconino… but only for the first three innings of the game. In the fourth inning, Prescott scored six runs, then scored a bunch more in the sixth and seventh innings. That resulted in a 15-3 stomping of Coconino. This marks the fifth game in a row where the Badgers have posted double digits in runs.

Adrian Sanderford teed off on the Panthers, getting a home run, a double, and six RBIs. Colton Champion had a triple and two RBIs. Nick Martin went 3-for-5 with three runs scored. Travis Gates was the winning pitcher, and at the plate, drove in a run.

Prescott is 7-3 overall on the season and 4-0 in Grand Canyon Region play. They are at Bradshaw Mountain Monday for a 7 pm. game.
