With thousands upon thousands of federal employees being purged from every department and agency, many Tri-City area residents might be worried the Prescott National Forest won’t have enough fire personnel in the event of a major wildfire.
But Prescott Fire Department Fire Marshal Anthony Valdez says he’s been in contact with the Forest Service, and learned:
Prescott National Forest personnel had to deal with the Brady Fire near Mayer back in February. It burned 363 acres before it was brought under control.
