At their most recent meeting, the Prescott Valley Town Council approved the transfer of the YavALine Regional Transit System to the Central Yavapai Metropolitan Planning Organization (CYMPO).
Launched in Prescott Valley in 2022 with the help of CARES Act funding, YavALine has been a vital resource for residents, with over 80,000 rides in the last two years. As that funding comes to an end, this transfer to CYMPO will ensure that YavALine can continue service in Prescott Valley, while expanding its reach and operation on a regional scale. By having this regional approach, it will help Prescott Valley save hundreds of thousands of dollars each year.
