On Tuesday, the Bradshaw Mountain baseball team got the better of Flagstaff 3-1. Thursday’s rematch was another close affair for both squads. The first inning ended with the Eagles up 2-1 on their home field. They tacked on another run in the third thanks to a Bradshaw error for a 3-1 advantage. The Bears came back in the top of the fifth to tie the score. Then in the top of the seventh, Ty Young drove in the go-ahead run on a ground out. A passed ball brought home another run. Bradshaw held off Flag in the bottom of the frame to get the 5-3 triumph.
Garison Jones went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Drew Strader had an RBI. Dylan Lockwood went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Isaiah Avila went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Dylan Reid was the winning pitcher.
Bradshaw Mountain is now 16-3 overall on the season and undefeated in Grand Canyon Region play at 7-0. Next up, they are at Coconino on Tuesday.
