The Department of Public Safety cracked down on speeders in one area of Yavapai County the Saturday before Easter. DPS officials say troopers conducted a zero-tolerance patrol on Highway 89 between Congress and Yarnell. Along with issuing numerous citations for speeding and other violations, troopers made two arrests. One was for DUI and criminal speeding, and another driver was taken into custody for possession of dangerous drugs and criminal speeding.
DPS says troopers will conduct more enforcement details on this stretch of Highway 89 in the future.
