AZ Cracks Down on Unlicensed THC-Infused Products

The Arizona Attorney General’s Office is moving forward with enforcement against businesses selling THC-infused food and drinks without proper licensing. As of now, unlicensed sales of these products are subject to criminal and civil penalties under state law.

Leading up to this date, the AG’s office had warned businesses that products containing Delta-8 THC and other intoxicating hemp derivatives must only be sold by licensed marijuana establishments under the Smart and Safe Arizona Act, also known as Proposition 207.

The issue has raised particular concern in Yavapai County, where there have been reports of local businesses selling infused food and beverages without a license.
Now that the grace period has ended, the Attorney General’s Office says enforcement actions will begin immediately.
