He will continue playing baseball with one of the top teams in the country. Prescott’s Colton Champion has signed to play at Arizona Christian University, who are ranked number 16 in the latest NAIA national poll.
He tells The News:
Champion plans to major in either sports medicine or business. This season, Champion is hitting .283 for Prescott with 17 RBIs and 16 runs scored. Last season, he was an All-Grand Canyon Region second team selection.
ACU finished the regular season with a 37-12-1 record. They will take part in the G-SAC Championship Tournament at Hohokam Park in Mesa starting Monday.
