Cottonwood police officers fatally shot a man during a domestic violence incident. Police officials say officers were dispatched to a home in the area of Viejo and Fir Street Sunday evening. Once there, they discovered the man was locked inside one of the rooms.
As officers were evacuating the other occupants of the house, the man emerged from the room with a shotgun. Officers shot and killed the man, who has not been identified.
No officers were injured in the shooting. The Department of Public Safety is investigating the shooting.
