Local scoreboard from the weekend, at the GSAC track and field championships, Nick Logan was runner-up in the men’s 5,000 meter run. Makenna Bray was 4th in the women’s 1,500 meter run and 7th in the 5,000 meter run.
Indoor football, the Northern Arizona Wranglers fell to the Arizona Rattlers 49-20. David Elder had a 51-yard kick return for a touchdown.
Baseball, Prescott clipped ALA Gilbert North 8-7. Brody Hanna made a home-run robbing catch in left field in the sixth inning that would have given the Eagles a 9-8 lead. Bradshaw Mountain beat Lee Williams in game one 6-4 and lost game two 6-3. Ty Young went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Because of the split, Prescott claims the Grand Canyon Region championship.
Softball, Prescott got edged out by Mohave 5-4 Friday. Gracie Pereira had a home run and two RBIs. On Saturday, Bradshaw Mountain lost to Mohave 13-2. Chino Valley creamed Tonopah Valley 13-0. Rebecca Sanders had three RBIs.
The Bradshaw Mountain boys volleyball team lost to Dysart 3-2.
