Dr. Christine Griffin Resigns as HUSD Superintendent

Dr. Christine Griffin announced she is resigning as superintendent of the Humboldt Unified School District. In a letter posted on the district’s Facebook page, Griffin said she made the decision based on the need to be closer to her parents, who are experiencing health issues.

Griffin has been the superintendent at HUSD for two years. She said the position gave her, “some of the most meaningful and rewarding moments of my career.” She also thanked the HUSD staff, the parents, and the community for their support.

Griffin’s resignation becomes effective at the end of the school year.
