Fire managers have successfully completed prescribed burns on 678 acres within the Goldwater RX Unit. Crews are focused on securing, monitoring, and patrolling the perimeter lines. Additional ignitions are planned, with a goal of treating another 311 acres.
Temporary trail closures remain in effect across the Bean Peaks Trail System to ensure the safety of both the public and firefighting personnel. These trails will reopen once fire crews have walked the area and addressed any remaining hazards.
This operation is a coordinated effort involving the Groom Creek Fire District, Prescott Fire Department, CAFMA, and several other local partners.
