PV Council Approves Tentative Budget

At its meeting Thursday night, the Prescott Valley Town Council approved a tentative budget for fiscal year 2026, totaling just over $221 million. That’s a $21 million increase from the previous year. A public hearing is set for June 26th for final adoption.

The move follows a detailed study session held on May 1st, where Council reviewed the proposed plan and heard an overview of the budget process, assumptions, and priorities. The Town emphasizes a fiscally conservative, community-minded approach—focusing on long-term sustainability and strategic use of funds.

Major investments include over $20 million for water improvements, nearly $14 million for Glassford Hill Road widening, and more than $18 million for a shared use path in Prescott Valley.

The budget maintains structural balance while addressing key community needs.
