PVPD Out in Force During Memorial Day Weekend

Prescott Valley Police are increasing patrols this Memorial Day weekend as part of a statewide effort to keep roads safe.

Starting today and running through the holiday weekend, officers will be out in force conducting DUI and seat belt enforcement under the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety program. The focus is on reducing crashes, injuries, and fatalities through highly visible patrols. Police will zero in on impaired driving, speeding, occupant restraint, and pedestrian safety.

Extra enforcement will be concentrated along Highway 69, one of the busiest roadways in the Tri-City area.

Drivers are urged to buckle up, slow down, and never drive impaired. Authorities remind motorists that safety is a shared responsibility on Arizona’s roadways.
