The Dewey-Humboldt Town Council approved the tentative budget for fiscal year 2026 at its meeting Tuesday. The new budget totals 12 million dollars. One issue discussed was what to do with $800,000 in contingency money.

The vote to approve the tentative budget was 4-2. The Town Council will vote on the final budget at a future meeting.
