The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office responded to a house fire in Black Canyon City early Sunday morning. At around 4:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched after flames from the home became visible from I-17. Firefighters from Daisy Mountain Fire and Medical and the Glendale Fire Department extinguished the fire.
Fortunately, the residents escaped the fire, which included a husband and wife, their four grandchildren, and several animals. YCSO officials report the main residence was a total loss. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
