Lane Restrictions Still in Place on I-17

It’s another week of lane restrictions on I-17 in Yavapai County. The interstate between New River Road and Sunset Point will be narrowed to one lane starting at either 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. and lasting until either 6 a.m. or 7 a.m. through Saturday. This is needed to accommodate drainage work, paving work, bridge work, and striping.

In addition, Bumble Bee Road and the northbound I-17 exit ramp at Bumble Bee Road remain closed for bridge deck replacement. The southbound off-ramp from I-17 to Bumble Bee Road will also be closed overnight Thursday for paving work.

Motorists traveling on northbound I-17 are also reminded that traffic has been shifted into the two newly constructed flex lanes that run adjacent to the two existing southbound lanes of I-17. Anyone traveling on this stretch of the interstate should allow for extra time to reach their destination and be alert for construction personnel and equipment.

This is part of the I-17 Improvement Project, which should be completed later this year.
