Prescott Regional Airport officials say they are planning to shift one of its runways one thousand feet to place it farther east of Highway 89. But first, they want to get the public’s thoughts on that. Two open houses on the project are scheduled for next week. They will take place June 25th and 26th from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Centennial Center across from the airport at 1989 Wineglass Drive.
The public is invited to look over the plans and provide feedback. The runway shift is designed to reduce the noise level over the Deep Well Ranch and Pinon Oaks subdivisions.
