Let’s take another look back at the past school year and recognize some of those former local athletes that found success elsewhere. During the winter, former Yavapai College men’s basketball player Cardell Bailey averaged 8.4 points per game for Maryland-Eastern Shore, along with 95 rebounds, 30 assists, and 25 steals.
Prescott grad Jack Mason came through big time for the Wagner College indoor men’s track and field team, as he was champion in the triple jump at the NEC Championship Meet and was named the Most Outstanding Field Athlete of the Meet.
As for some other ex-Badgers, Tyson Potts went 5-5 for the Wayland Baptist baseball team with a 5.37 ERA, 98 strikeouts, and 33 walks in 70 innings. Jacob Police hit .310 for the Mid-America Christian University baseball team with six home runs and 21 RBIs, and was named to the NCCAA Scholar-Athlete Team.
